FOPBSS is the parent-teacher organization (PTO) for both Mission Bay High School (MBHS) and Pacific Beach Middle School (PBMS), which are located in the Pacific Beach community of San Diego. More information and contacts for each school can be found on their websites here:
CHOICE Enrollment
PBMS and MBHS are part of the Mission Bay Cluster of Schools, along with Barnard Mandarin Magnet Elementary School, Crown Point Junior Music Academy, Kate Sessions Elementary, and Pacific Beach Elementary. Families from outside this cluster and/or outside of San Diego Unified may apply to enroll at PBMS and MBHS through the district’s school CHOICE Enrollment program.
Currently, students who choiced into our feeder elementary schools do not need to re-apply when they matriculate from 5th to 6th grade; the same is true for those who have choiced into PBMS and will matriculate from 8th to 9th grade at MBHS.
Applications for the 2025-26 school year can be submitted between September 23 and November 4, 2024. Information and deadlines will be posted on SDUSD’s CHOICE Enrollment website in the fall.
